Sie kommen teilweise vom Bolshoi oder Stanislavsky Theater und ist heut zu tage eine der wichtigsten Kompanien Russlands. Seit der Gründung sind sie in der ganzen Welt aufgetreten. Bekannte Stücke sind u.a.: Schwanensee, Der Nussknacker, Dornröschen und seine letzten Produktionen waren: Carmen, Don Quijote und Romeo und Julia.

ATLANTA GOSPEL CHORALE
ROBIN BROWN is the director of the group “Atlanta Gospel Chorale”, considered as an institution in the city of Atlanta (GA). They are constantly invited to events in Georgia: The Atlanta Arts Festival, The Coca Cola Centennial Celebration, The Annual Martin L. King Birthday Observance, National Black Arts Festival and more.
In 1991 Robin Brown and The Triumphant Delegation were singing together. On her first tour in Europe she acts at the famous “Montreaux Jazz Festival” in Switzerland and 1994 she makes a tour through Japan. In 1996 she won the Amalfi award from RAI1, Italian Radio Station and this year she goes on tour as a guest star with Andrea Mingardi.

Canarian and Spanish Championship at Playa Blanca’s coast
Open Europe – The Formula 1 in Water Ski
Between 20th and 23rd July 2011 and for the first time, the Canarian and Spanish Championship and the Open Europe Extreme Water Skiing were celebrated at the Puerto Marina Rubicón. Nearly 20 teams, formed each by three sportsmen, signed up to the start. It’s the Formula 1 of water ski races. The skier reach up to 120 km/h. Courage and posture of the skiers are evaluated and the number of rounds they achieve within the time limit. This race was organized by the Federacíon Canaria y Española de Esquí Náutico. Winners in the different categories were: Formula 1: José Miguel González, Formula 2: Mario Expósito, Senior: Marcos Todoldi, Junior: Cristian Baez, Women: Cristina Guanche und Iberkids: Rebeca Cruz. The most funny and “loca” competition of the island
K10 XTREME YAIZA
The Townhall of Yaiza together with the Club „Montaña Termesana“ have organized this curious competition that takes place on 3rd September 2011. If you would like to participate you can register yourself at www.k10xtreme.neositios.com. The event is going to happen in La Degollada, Yaiza. The racetrack is 10 km long and consist of 5 km running in the mountain, 1 km obstacles and further 4 km running in the mountain. Maximum time to finish this race are two hours.
At the same time a K10 XTREME KIDS was organized for children between 6 and 12 years old. Motorbikes and 4 Wheels will provide entertainment and different DJ’s with good music. (Source: cronicasdelanzarote - 11.08.2011)

Local elections 22nd May 2011
Lanzarote’s citizen vote for the change
The clear winners of the local elections from 22nd May 2011 were the CC Party (Coalición Canarias = Canarian Coalition) and the PP Party (Partido Popular = Popular Party), whilst the coalition from PIL (Partido Independiente de Lanzarote = Independent Party of Lanzarote) and the PSOE (Partido Socialista Obreo Español = Social Workers Party of Spain) didn’t reach the victory. As well as in the rest of Spain the party of the present prime minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero has lost the confidence of the electorate in Lanzarote. The wave of rejection is due to the high quote of unemployed in Spain and the way of dealing with the financial crisis. The PSOE lost seats in all municipalities, but not in Teguise. The elections for the parliament became a debacle because they could only carry through one representative. It was worse for the PIL Party. They lost half of all their representatives at the Cabildo (Island government) and in the municipality of Arrecife, and two of six seats in Teguise. Only in Yaiza the Pil Party with Gladys Acuña won.

Rachel Joyce and Timo Bracht win the Triathlon
At 7:00 a.m. on last Saturday, 21st May 2011, 1,500 athletes started at the Ironman competition: 3,8 km swimming, 180 km bike und 42,195 km marathon. Who finally reached the finish line had covered a total distance of 225,995 km. More than 4,000 volunteers saw to it that the competition was a full success. Amongst the women Rachel Joyce won the race in 09:28:12 before Natascha Badmann (09:43:40) and Karina Ottosen (10:10:15). Timo Bracht bet the Lanzarote record held by Thomas Hellriegel since the 1995 Ironman with a time of 08:35:40. Bracht crossed the finish line in 08:30:34 before Konstantin Bachor and Esben Havgaard. Thelanzarote triathlete Gregorio Cáceres reached a notable sixth position.
That this competition does take place on Lanzarote is thanks to the Dane Kenneth Gasque who saw similarities between Lanzarote and Hawaii, and who gave in 1990 the impetus for a competiton on the island. In 1992 the first Ironman Lanzarote took place with 148 athletes participating. This year 1,500 athletes from 40 different countries started. Amongst them were 28 professionals. Trash the Dress – the slightly different wedding photography
A wedding couple is photographed. Not in front of the traditional altar,not in the church. Not in the village square, and not cutting the cake. But dancing in the subway, in the scrap yard, in the factory, in the cemetery, in a lunar landscape. What? Moon is impossible you say? Nobody is flying there right now? But that goes! Because our lunar landscape is only 4 to 5 flight hours away from your home. On Lanzarote, the island with its breathtaking volcanoes. A wedding couple in the lava flow, in front of red mountains, at the black beach, in the sea foam. It is to take photos that make fun, even when dress and suit are getting wet, and the acutal wedding is long gone. This is intended as a supplement to the traditional wedding photograph. First Solidarity Festival COMpARTE in Uga
The municipality Yaiza is organizing on next Friday, 11th February 2011 from 9 p.m. on a music festival for the benefit of needy people from this locality. Who wants to join this event must pay the entrance in foodstuffs. Nonperishable food should be brought like flour, noodles, rice, pulses, suggar, gofio, oil, dry fish or mature cheese. Under the motto "Solidarityisneither measurednorweighed,butsplit...YouDecideon thevalueof yourentry". The artist are acting free of charge. Until now the following persons and groups have announced their attendance: Cristian Morales, Sivit’s Magic, Ciempiés ni cabeza, Santiago Mora, Araceli Bravo, el Club de Gimnasio Isla de Lanzarote, Sheila Rodríguez, Bruno Ramírez, La Clave, Carlos de la Nuez, Junior, Ley Urbana, Acaymo Barco, el Ballet Ya tu sabes y la parranda Los Salineros de la Hoya.
